About the print:
In the Garden is about enjoying the small moments in life. Life is so fleeting and full of darkness and tragedy but if you look around there is so much beauty and vitality too. To me, flowers represent that beauty and the choice to notice them is the decision to see the world through a positive lens.

This print is available in multiple sizes. It was digitally signed by the artist. The 8x10 and 11x14 prints are numbered by The Working Proof, and the 16x20 and 24x30 prints come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Learn more here.

Your work is heavily influenced by fashion. How do women, beauty, and design factor into your artistic process?
The human form, more specifically the female form inspire my work. I'm fascinated and inspired by the creative process in the fashion industry. So many people coming together to create art that also celebrates the human form. Fashion is the culmination of ideas, design and craftmanship that can convey ideas, emotions and thoughts through textures, colors and form.

Why did you choose to pair the Kids In Need Foundation with your print?
I chose to pair my print with the Kids in Need Foundation, because their mission is to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies nationally to students most in need. I feel a special propensity for children. I teach art at a lovely independent school with lots of supplies and a great arts programs. It saddens me tremendously that all children don't have equal educational opportunities with great school facilities, wonderful/caring teachers and the supplies needed to aid their learning and enhance their lives.

What have you been up to since we last worked together?
Oh so much! I work with amazing clients to help them convey their ideas through illustration. Some clients include: J.Crew, New York Magazine/The Cut, Daily Candy and I'm finishing up my first solo book that will be published by Chronicle in fall 2013.

How has your work developed over the last year?
The more I work the more facile I become and able to express myself or my clients thoughts with an economy of line and form.

What is inspiring you these days?
Autumn in New York.
